THE ECONOMIC NECESSITY- GRADUATED INCOME TAXES

GRADUATED INCOME TAXES DO NOT REPRESENT AN UNNECESSARY SOCIALIST REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH THEY ARE AN ECONOMIC NECESSITY.

The cost of all government expenses divided into the total earned income of Canadians would result in a percentage of income required to run government.

That cost would be too high for many low income tax-payers to bear and still have money for the expenses of themselves and any dependents.

 

The first thousands of dollars are not taxed nor is income tax applied to more money for dependents and certain expenses.

Everyone regardless of how much they make is taxed at the first low levels and at higher levels to reach the percentage necessary to support government and if the income earner earns far more than what is necessary to live, then even higher percentages of tax will be charged to make up for the taxes charged at a lower percentage than necessary to support government.

There are more taxes which apply without graduation on such as purchases. There are some tax rebates to return low income earners money for some of these taxes as well. 

High income earners can cost government more than low income earners. There are many government expenses to provide services to companies whose products are so expensive that low income earners are not able to afford them. Low taxes on low income earnings are not a Socialist giveaway.
