WOULD YOU, MR. RHODES SCHOLAR?

THIS IS THE REPRISE OF AN EVENT FROM LONG AGO FIFTY SIX YEARS AGO, REMEMBERED LIKE THE DAY IT HAPPENED. SOMETHING NEW JUST OCCURRED.Canadian National Railway Building, Montréal | 112364 | EMPORIS

THIS IS A REAL DREAM RELIVING OF AN EVENT FROM LONG BEFORE THE COMMONLY APPLIED "  THE PAST" TIME LIMIT.

Place Ville Marie, Montreal Quebec Canadian National Railway Headquarters 1964. Eighteen year old Lindon Collard walks up Windsor Street in his Clark Desert Boots, Levis Corduroys and the Standard UNB shirt, an Arrow Broadcloth Oxford, long sleeved and with medium wide stripes in grey with wide spacing of the stripes. The shirts were 100% Cotton, the corduroy jeans as well.

Montréal travel | Canada - Lonely Planet

Montreal was hot and stinking of exhaust and human waste compared to the relatively pristine New Brunswick especially at the University of New Brunswick campus atop a hill overlooking the Saint John River with a Forest behind it that went for hundreds of miles. The Campus is up in the back of the photograph of probably a later time than Lindon attended the University.

Life in New Brunswick | Canadian Provinces - Canadianvisa.org

Lindon was used to the reek, he had lived in Montreal for many years until he was twelve and his Father was transferred to New Brunswick by the Canadian National Railway.

Corporal Dale Williams described Lindon as two hundred pounds of dynamite, she probably liked the tennis ball haircut too. Healthy and energetic Lindon approached the examination room where the Rhodes scholar was probably meant to out perform the Sophmoric eighteen year old Lindon to show him how far he had yet to go but that was not to be so.

The exam was slightly puzzelling as it shifted from one academic discipline to another, but the small time Newspaper Writer Concrete technician and student of Mathematics, Geometry, Physics and Chemistry was ready regardless. Perhaps the ``Pure`` Mathematician was off in a neo religious reality of mostly useless mathematical extremes. The diversity of the test might have been problematic or is this as smart as the Rhodes Scholars get, is the Mr. Rhodes Greatmind Ledgend just Puffery or was Lindon`s intellect overwhelming.

Lindon would not have known, teenagers do not think of how smart they might be, pre teens and teenagers simply strive to meet the academic demands they are required to participate in and whose standards they have to meet. Why, you might pose the question, Why, because we were told to do it and did what we were told
