IN RUSSIA THE WAR ECONOMY HAS RESULTED IN A 35% INCREASE IN INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION BUT THE REGULAR ECONOMY IS FLAT OR DEPRESSED.THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WAR ECONOMY AND A PEACE ECONOMY.

THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT ANY "BOOM" IN THE REGULAR ECONOMY RESULTS IN THE PRODUCTION OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND GOODS AND SERVICES WHICH BENEFIT THE COUNTRY AND IMPROVE THE LIVING CONDITIONS OF THE CITIZENS.

WAR ECONOMIES LAY WASTE TO VALUABLE INFRASTRUCTURE AND DESTROY GOODS AND SERVICES WHEREVER THE WEAPONS ARE DEPLOYED.

THERE IS ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE WHICH IS NOT ACCOMPANIED BY SOME ADVANTAGE TO THE POPULATION AND THERE IS AN IRRESPONSIBLE SQUANDERING OF VALUABLE AND IRREPLACEABLE RESOURCES.
